At his White House forum on healthcare reform, on March 5, 2009, Barack Obama stated, “The cost of health care now causes a bankruptcy in America every thirty seconds." The problem is that the numbers do not add up. They are not even close. The numbers are based on a flawed 2005 Harvard study. ABCNews has an article explaining the real numbers.
Why is Chairman Obama using outdated, incorrect information? Is his research really that poor? Is he using the incorrect numbers to intentionally deceive people? Either way, it is alarming that Obama’s numbers are so wrong. If he is clearly incorrect on healthcare, on which other issues will he be so far from the mark?
